This afternoon, I was sitting out in my swing, crying and wondering how I was going to get through the next three weeks without talking to David when the phone rang. I looked at Steve and said "I wish that would be him." Then I looked at the caller-id and guess what it said...."Pay Phone"!! IT WAS DAVID!!! I could hear him much better than I could on Friday and he got to talk a little longer this time. He sounded so good. He said they had cut his hair and given them their uniforms and they exercised like crazy today. He said real boot camp starts on Tuesday and they will work them really hard for the next three weeks. He has made some friends and said he wasn't feeling nearly as homesick. Thank you God for hearing my prayer...thank you for letting me talk to my boy...thank you for letting him sound happy...Thank you God! I might just make it afterall!

Oh Monica...my eyes filled up with tears just thinking about you not being able to talk with your sweet baby boy. So thankful you were able to hear his voice. Big Hugs to you!
What an answered prayer, my heart aches for you and I can only imagine what you must be feeling. One of my favorite songs is Mark Harris "Find your wings" one of the verses, "let my love give you roots and help you find your wings". As mothers we will always worry but find comfort knowing our God is in control.
