Our FCC group held our annual Dragon Boat races on Saturday. We enjoyed seeing everyone again and the kids all had fun wading in the creek.
Then when we got home, our Auntie had a Gotcha Day party all set up. Lily Mei was so surprised that Auntie, Nunk and Joy were already here when she got home. Tim and Tina stopped by and brought Lily the cutest little baby doll. Of course, Auntie brought "sacks" and new dresses and lots of goodies for the Princess!!
Tuesday night, Mrs. Pat (our social worker) came for our last post-placement visit. Lily Mei showed her all her new toys and her room and her swingset. We had a great visit and Mrs. Pat said she was "so happy" to see how well Lily Mei was doing.
On Wednesday, Lily Mei put on her new raincoat and boots and played in the rain! We also took the side rail off her crib and turned it into a "big girl" daybed. She LOVES it!! Maybe someday soon, she will actually sleep all night in there!! And, today Lily Mei got her first "Summer Pal" gift in the mail from Ana Claire! She got a new Barbie and new crayons and markers! Fun!!
Thursday afternoon, our neighbor, Mrs. Marsha brought her grandson Brock over to play. We hadn't seen Brock since his family moved and he had gotten so tall! He really liked the Barbie jeep (sorry Mark!) until Lily Mei pushed the pedal and it started going. He was ready to get out then!
Oh and one last note: we went all week wearing "big girl panties" with no accidents!! HOORAY!!

Wow, those are some awesome pictures!!! All of them!!!! I am just tired reading of your week, love the raincoat and umbrella and oh the big girl bed, we are gonna have to try that. Lily still sleeps with us.
How funny that we posted What a week posts today. Yours sounds much better than mine - with a party and all. Here's to year two! I don't know how it can top year one, but hoping it does.
