A Trip To The IAC

We took Lily Mei for her 6 month follow-up visit with Dr. Chambers and the ladies at the International Adoption Clinic in Birmingham. They were all so impressed with how far she has come since they last saw her. Miss Amy, the occupational therapist, evaluated Lily Mei on her developmental skills and said she is performing at 100% on the 24 month chart and even doing about 80% on the 2-1/2-3 year old chart!! We were so pleased and so was Miss Amy. Of course, Lily Mei poured on the charm and Miss Amy even told Dr. Chambers that playing with Lily Mei made her want to adopt (she's the only one in the group that hasn't adopted...yet!!). Lily Mei is our little adoption ambassador, that's for sure!!

Lily Mei weighed 28.6 lbs and was 34 inches tall. That puts her in the 41st percentile for height and the 65th percentile for weight. Dr. Chambers, Miss Amy and Miss LeighAnn all agreed that they didn't need to see us back for one whole year!! HOORAY, Lily Mei!! We are so proud of you!!

that is SO awesome!!! I'm so glad that Lily Mei is doing so well. But we knew it anyway! It was just good to hear the doctor say so!! :) We chose not to go for the 6 month IAC visit. We just didn't have the money for them to tell us what we already knew!! Anyway, SO glad you had a good visit!!! Have a great week!

What a great report! That is wonderful!

We go tomorrow. I am SURE that we won't get the same reception. ;) I hope they are impressed with Rebecca's progress anyway!
