Please Help!

As many of you know, China has been hit very hard with snow storms over the past week or so. It seems the hardest hit are rural areas where there are many orphanages. In ideal circumstances, these orphanages struggle for supplies and the needs of the children are met with few luxuries. But in these conditions, some orphanages are without power, there is no heat, and they are running low on food and supplies for the children.

There is an organization called Half The Sky who is accepting donations to try to help get supplies to the orphanages who are in dire need. They are a legitimate organization and every dime raised is going to benefit the children in these orphanages. Here is a link to their site: Half The Sky Please go there and read up on their organization and consider donating, even a little, to their emergency fund. They have an updated list of orphanages and the needs they are facing. It looks like Lily Mei's orphanage, Liangping SWI, is fairing well, but there are so many others that are not.

Please help if you can and please remember all the waiting children in your prayers. Thank you.

I posted on this matter too and have donated too. Praying others will respond. I think the need is greater than we have heard. Thanks for posting on it too.

Thank you for posting and for donating. I just can't imagine what so many are going through. I pray that many come together to help those in need. Especially the little ones. God bless the children.

This has been so heartbreaking to read about over the last week. I am praying for these sweet children and their caretakers.

We have to remember that nothing is too big for God, and He stopped the storm for the disciples and He can bring resolution to this weather situation too! In the meantime, I know every dollar counts so much and I hope everyone will give give give! Thank you SO much for posting this!
And btw, I cannot ever see your slide shows from slide.com! What is the deal? I wonder if it's something with my computer I guess? :( It makes me sad!
