Dear Lily Mei,
Today, you turned seven years old. Oh my...where does the time go? Seems like only yesterday you were sitting in your high chair eating corn-on-the-cob and signing "more". Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time. I have loved everything about you being six. But then again, I loved everything about five and four and three and....well, I just love everything about you! Oh how you make my heart smile.
~You love to dance. You are constantly twirling and spinning and practicing your ballet moves. You love going to Ms. Kelly's and on Thursdays, you are there for three hours taking ballet, tap, and jazz.
~You love playing violin! And you are really good at it! Daddy and I are so proud and amazed at how quickly you caught on. You are playing in the Huntsville Youth Orchestra and your first concert was amazing!
~You love to learn! We are homeschooling first grade and you always say Science is your favorite subject. But you also love math and you are getting so good at reading. You love love love books and that makes me so happy! I love seeing your face light up when you read an entire book to me or Daddy.
~You love crafts. Any kind of craft. Painting is your favorite, but you also like to draw and create fashion designs. You love to make cards for people and paint pictures to decorate our walls.
~You love to play games. Your favorite game is Headbanz and it's hilarious to see us all sitting around with card on our heads. Landon and Robyn are so good to play with you and it makes me so happy to hear everyone laugh when they play.
~You love to travel. Of course, Disney is your favorite place to go (Daddy's, too), but you also love the beach and going to David's house in Texas. You make every trip an adventure and you love to stop and have picnics. You are getting really good at map reading and we always have to find maps of the states we visit so you can chart our course!
~You never meet a stranger! Everyone at church just loves you. The ladies at Dollar General compliment you on your manners. When we go to eat at Miss Annies, she comes by our table constantly to talk to you. You are full of personality and sunshine.
We love you, Lily Mei. I hope you always stay just as happy and sweet and wonderful as you are right now. You make us so very happy and we are so proud of the person you are! Never change...keep smiling...keep exploring....keep just being you. You are perfect.
I love you to the moon and back!
Momma
