Today Lily Mei Carter celebrated her first birthday in the Liangping SWI in Chongqing, China. We had a little "party" for her here with a cake and a few gifts to take with us when we pick her up. I hope she is having a good day, staying warm, and getting plenty to eat. I pray she knows there is a family in Athens, AL, that can't wait to get her home and who already love her more than words can say. I hope her caregivers will give her an extra hug today and she will somehow know that it is from her mama anxiously waiting for her halfway across the world.
We love you Lily Mei! We'll be there soon!
