Conversations With Lily Mei

We were driving past McDonalds:
LM: Let's go dare (pointed to McD's)
M: We can't go today. Mama doesn't have any money.
LM: You don't have any money?
M: Not today
We get home and I'm in my bedroom changing clothes and Lily Mei comes in with a handful of her play money from her cash register.
LM: Lily Mei has money, mama. Let's go buy a coke.


I'm trying to get Lily Mei to eat less junk and more fruit. I had some blueberries in the refrigerator and I was trying to get her to eat some of them.
M: Lily Mei, do you want mama to make you a smoothie with these blueberries?
LM: No tankyou
M: How about putting some in your yogurt?
LM: No tankyou
M: Do you want me to make a pie?
LM: YES! I wuv pie
So I make a blueberry cobbler and fix Lily Mei a bowl. She takes one bite and says:
LM: I no like dis. It's not tasty.
M: What's not tasty?
LM: Dees tings (pointing to blueberries)
M: Well, try another bite anyway.
LM: No, I just like dis part (pointing to the sugar coated crust)


Lily Mei was crying at the dinner table because her Daddy got on to her for not eating.
LM: I need my mama
Daddy: You're not going to sit with mama. You're going to eat.
LM: I don't want to eat. I want my mama.
Daddy: Why do you want your mama?
LM: I need to cwy on her solder.

I was talking on the phone to Tina when Lily Mei came in rubbing her head and crying.
M: What's wrong?
LM: I hit my head.
M: You're OK. Do you want to talk to Tina?
LM: No, I'm not finished cwying yet.


The girl cracks me up!!
