It's been a busy couple of weeks here at the Carter house. David left for Basic Training on July 22. It's been a huge adjustment for all of us with him not being here. Due to a paperwork glitch, he is still in the holding area and has not been able to start his basic training yet. We are all very frustrated and ready for the next 8 weeks to be over so we can go see him. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
I do not have a recent update on Beth and the twins. I did see on another blog that someone had talked with their guide in China and one of the girls has been discharged and the other is out of the PICU. They thought they might get to come back to the States this weekend! I've emailed Beth's sister to confirm this, but haven't heard from her. I will update when I get more info. Thank you to everyone that worked so hard to get them help and food in Guangzhou.**Just heard from Beth's sister. They are leaving China on Sunday night!!! Praise God!!**
Landon started back to school yesterday. He's a junior this year and working at the Piggly Wiggly. So, it's back to just Lily Mei and I here and we're trying to get back into some kind of routine. We start back to Kindermusik in September and will probably be having lunch with Steve on Thursdays.
Lily Mei continues to amaze us everyday. She loves to sing and dance and play with her babies and her barbies. She is talking up a storm and can actually carry on a conversation. When her daddy calls every morning she answers the phone and says "Good morning. How are you? I am fine. When I going to see you? Have a nice day. Love you, too." Oh that girl...she is just a joy.
So, that's our lives in a nutshell for now. We'll be singing and dancing and counting the days until October! Have a wonderful weekend!

Monica, what adorable pictures of Lily Mei!!! Hope your son get's things worked out and get where he needs to be soon. Wonderful news that the twins will be coming home, praise God!!!! I have heard kindermusik is alot of fun and looking into that for Lily. Have a great weekend :) Love the name Piggly Wiggly reminds me of an older movie or show but can't think of it now!!!!

Wow, Landon's back in school already, Acer doesn't start until Sept 6. it's actually a state law that they can't go back until after labor day!

We're still trying to figure out how to get our dossier together so it can go to Holt, extra papers to print out and sign. I guess it'll be even thicker than our last one was!
