Well, we made it back from our fun-filled glorious beach vacation. We had a great time, but it just wasn't long enough. There's just nothing like sitting back enjoying a Starbucks strawberry-banana smoothie and watching the waves roll in. Lily Mei had a great time playing in the sand. She LOVED the ocean on the first day. She ran and jumped and laughed. Steve chased her up and down that beach. I thought she might not like it, so I didn't take the camera down, but since she did so well, I thought we would have plenty of laughing in the ocean pics....boy was I wrong. The rest of the time we were there, she wanted no part of the ocean!! She would say "water get my toes" everytime we even suggested she get near it! She did like playing in the sand and when we would ask her if she wanted to go in she would say "no stay beach, have fun".
The first afternoon we were there, we had our family pictures made by Cheryl and Harry of Pensacola Photography. They were wonderful and I can't wait to see the proofs! I'm just glad Steve's OT is starting back up in a few weeks!! Since this was our first and probably last (for a while) family vacation, I wanted some professional photos done. Harry and Cheryl spent about an hour and a half with us and got some great shots of the kids!! They came all the way to our condo and their prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend them!
On Friday night, we rode over to Pensacola to visit my mom and stepdad. Mom had cooked David a graduation dinner and we had a nice visit.
The rest of our time was spent playing on the beach, shopping at the outlets (yes, Sara, those are apples on Lily Mei's dress and it's from Gymboree!)
and eating way too much yummy food! One afternoon, we ate at LuLu's, which is a restaurant owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister. FYI: If you ever go to LuLu's, go late in the afternoon....it's an open air restaurant (no AC) and at 2:00 pm it's really really HOT!!!
Our family beach vacations hold so many wonderful memories and I am so glad we got to take Lily Mei before David leaves for basic training. I can't wait to go again!!

Ahhh..Gymboree; I should have guessed! But I try to steer clear of the mall!! I love Lily Mei's tan lines!

I cant wait to see the family photos. I know they will be so good. I want to get professional pictures taken at the beach....but waiting for Ms. Lia to complete. Because I know that I will be spending lots of money (haha).
We head to the beach on July 5th for eight days and I cant wait. Told Jerry that we need to stay longer for Lily Grace to wear all her swimsuits. LOL

How awesome to have someone take your shots for you on the beach. Wish I had known, it would have saved us LOTS of stress! ;) I can't wait to see the pics!
We love Lulu's, but yes, it's hot and usually VERY crowded for dinner. But the atmosphere is so fun! We heard the Hang Out was a great family place to eat, but we never got around to trying it. We're such old fashioned Sea-n-Suds fans. That's the only place we went to eat!
Wish we could have been down there together! Were yall on west beach by any chance?
And my sis lives in P'Cola...I love that city!

Looks like you all had a great time! We're trying to figure out what sort of family vacation we can survive this summer! I would love for Rebecca to see the ocean but I'm not sure if I'm ready to be 7 hours in the car with the kids! lol

Oh, how fun!! I am so glad that you all had a nice vacation. I love beach photos...I look forward to seeing them when you get them back. We had some done a few years ago before our girls came home. Ella always looks at them and asks where she is. I think we need to get some more done this
