Eight Months Today!

Lily Mei has been in our arms eight months today. Wow! Where has the time gone? She is such a blessing to our family. She makes us laugh with her funny faces and silly grins. Sometimes I watch her sleep and can't believe she is really mine. Occasionally, I have to go back and read our travel blog just to make sure we really went to China and brought home a baby. It seems like she has always been a part of our family.

She loves her clothes and shoes. We have to take a baby doll or Elmo with us everywhere we go! We must always have a hairbow and she loves taking a bath. She has the sweetest spirit and is almost always happy. Her smile lights up the room and warms my heart. She gives hugs and kisses and says "wuv oo too" when you tell her you love her. Her vocabulary has exploded. She repeats everything she hears (sometimes not so good with a houseful of teenagers!;-) and she is now saying 2-3 word sentences. She loves to watch her slide shows on the blog and listen to the "moo-sic". She has so much fun at Kindermusik class and has really came out of her shell. Just yesterday, she sat on the blanket for storytime with the other children, although she did keep looking around to make sure I was still there. She adores her "Da" (David) and "LaLa" (Landon) and she is definitely a daddy's girl, until she gets sleepy!! I'm loving being home with her and we sing and dance and read books all day.

She loves to pick out the clothes she is going to wear for the day. This morning, she picked out her pink butterfly outfit and wanted her shoes. I got her little Keds, but she kept saying "no", so I opened her closet to let her pick out the ones she wanted. She chose a pair of white patent-leather shoes that are 2 sizes too big. We put them on and she immediately stood up and said "picture". We had to come into the kitchen and she stood by the door for me to take a picture of her shoes. She cracks me up!!

Thank you Lord for this precious angel you have given us. She truly is the light of our lives.
