A Carter Family Update

Things are going great here at the Carter house! The boys are back in school and both seem to be liking it OK (well, I don't hear much complaining, so I guess they like it!!). David took his Senior Portraits last week. How can that be possible? My sweet boy will be 18 in 3 weeks...ugh!! Landon is in the 10th grade and he and his daddy are out looking at trucks right now. Oh, what will I do when another one is on the road?!! Steve stays busy with overtime and yard work. And my days are filled with singing and dancing and reading and reading and reading and....well, you get the picture! I do have to go back to work next week, which makes me sad, but I'm only going back one day a week and my daddy and stepmom are going to keep the little Princess for me. I know they will enjoy the time with her and she will be spoiled rotten!!

As for Lily Mei, where do I begin? She is the absolute light of our lives. We all adore her and can't imagine what we ever did without her. The long lonely years of waiting are not completely forgotten, but they are quickly being replaced with days filled with smiles and giggles. She has the sweetest personality and some of the things she comes up with just makes your heart sing! She is talking more and more: Da Da, Mama, Da (David), LaLa (Landon), Belle, cat, mooooo cow (you should see her little lips when she does this), bath, BITE (we hear this alot!). She loves to read books and we spend hours on end reading (usually the same book over and over...). She loves her shoes and must wear them all the time! When she does something she isn't supposed to and you say "No Lily", she puckers up those sweet little lips and gives you a big 'ol kiss...so, what are you going to do then, right? Her favorite food is Princess gummy snacks (isn't that appropriate) and she loves peach tea. She's sleeping better (thank goodness) and loves to take a bath! Her face lights up when the boys come home and she laughs so hard when they throw her into the air or hold her upside down! She greets her Daddy every afternoon by running down the sidewalk and "helping" him carry his things into the house. She is an angel and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

So that's about it from here. We hope everything is going well for all of you. Hopefully, the weather is finally cooling down and we can enjoy some outside time after this long hot summer! Take care and thanks for visiting!

Love,
The Carter Gang

Aahhh, thanks for that little touch of reality. Just when I think this is all a big dream and it's never going to happen...you remind me of how great things are and how greater they are going to be! :-)

My beautiful Lily Mei ....your Aunt Connie is missing you. I just need to give you a big kiss and hug.
Yes....our little boys (I will always refer Austin as my litttle boy) are growing up. Austin will be 14 in November. Our kids is our true blessing. Lily is excited about getting a sister. She calls her "Lilo Faith", and not Lia Faith. Austin says he wants a sister and brother...hmmmm.....maybe if I was 30 years old or I could get Mamaw just move it.
Cant wait to see you guys again. We love you!
