We're Still Waiting...and Waiting....and Waiting..

Well, here we are: another week and no news. I told my friend Tina that it was going to be a long year (or two) if all I had to post on this blog was new outfits and books. As far as I know, our homestudy is still at DHR and hopefully will soon be on it's way to Atlanta, then more waiting for the prized 171. I'm still waiting on Olga to send my copy of the homestudy so I can get it certified (with the rest of our documents) in Montgomery and then send everything to the Chinese consulate in Houston. She is waiting on the probate judge in Baldwin county to certify it and then she will send it to me. Oh well, guess there's really no big rush. They say it is taking 90 days to get the 171 back after it reaches Atlanta....ugh.

On a brighter note, we went to our first get-together with our Athens Families with Children from China group this past Saturday. This amazing group has been a wealth of information and support on our message board and it was so wonderful to be able to put faces with names. We were celebrating the homecoming of Miss Lily Grace Green, who by the way is beautiful. In fact all the girls were just adorable and made me want our Lily Mei home now! We had a great time and really appreciated everyone making us feel so welcome!

So what else should I tell you? The upstairs is coming along nicely. We're almost ready for sheetrock. The boys are good. David is managing the AHS football team and loves it! Landon and Olivia have been "going out" for 4 months and 4 weeks. I'm not sure how this is different from 5 months, but he says Olivia says "4 months and 4 weeks", so who am I to question?! Steve's knee is getting better. It still occasionally locks up and makes him almost fall, which I think is hilarious, but he does not! And as for me...well, I'm addicted to all things adoption. I check my email, message boards, and rumor sites about a million times a day and I am completely hooked on other people's blogs! So I guess we're hanging in there (what other choice do we have, right?). Thanks for checking in. I'll keep you posted on any breaking news!!
